Hi! I’m Gill Davenport, and I founded GD Proofreading in 2023.
Proofreading really is the perfect job for me!
After graduating with a BA (Hons) in English Language and Linguistics in 2006, I put my love for language to use by working in Communications and Marketing for over 15 years.
Working in different sectors gave me the chance to work with style guides and proofread a big range of written pieces, from academic papers and research reports to promotional copy and website content.
I soon realised that proofreading was the ideal fit for me, which led to me setting up GD Proofreading.
I feel incredibly lucky to be able to use my love for detail and language in my work, and I’d love to help make your copy the best it can be.
